This is an excellent quality radio at a great price. It is well built with solid construction throughout. The default display color is blue and can be changed in setting to a total of three different colors. I changed mine to orange.
The default display brightness is just right out of the box. No adjustments were needed. The speaker audio quality is very good, loud and clean even at max volume. Easy to install a nice external speaker too
The microphone audio quality is also very good. I've received good reports over the air. The radio puts out a whopping 60 watts if used through the right, properly tuned, antennaThe scanning function is easy to start and stop. It also has a channel lockout setting. You can name each channel with up to seven characters. Overall, I can't find anything to complain about this radio. I'm very pleased with it. Retevis did a great job on the RT-9000D.
This radio comes pre-programmed from my shop and is easy to add whatever extra channels that you need.
